Mistake

I don't know how I did this, but I like it.

When we bought our house there was a gravel area beneath the upper deck.  Just loose stones and cigarette butts, pewy!  Our general contractor Bill Sherrerd got a crew together and poured a cement base.  It was so fun to watch!

First they poured a base and laid in cross bars to

prevent cracks.

Check out this huge crane!  The cement mixer

was down at the barn and they pumped the cement

all the way up to the house.

Here it comes!

This guy had giant joysticks to operate the crane.

Smoothing, getting rid of all the glumps and clumps.

Almost finished, and tinted green!

All finished, and lots of wood stored for winter.

John's 50th was Friday.  We had a party and John's brothers came out from New York and Vermont.  It was awesome!
